The Fourteenth Beast.

Woa!  The beast’s wings have fused at the top and it has become a sort of gas-filled blimp.  The rest of its body has become thin and elongated to aid in lift and the tail stiffened to act as a rudder.  Air sacs have formed at either side of the head, as either a display or to aid in calls over long distances.

I was at a loss with an interesting place to take this beast, and credit for the concept all goes to Aaron.  He’s done some fantastic fanart for this project if you haven’t seen it already!

Have you guys ever watched Disney’s 1957 educational Mars movie?  I’ve watched the Life on Mars segment twice now while doing this project.  It’s seriously worth a look.
